Jen in The Six: Best Bets for Foodies at the Toronto Christmas Market

It's the last week of the Christmas Market! This week is bound to busy, with last minute shoppers and people who are getting into the festive spirit. While you're weaving in and out of the crowds make sure you check out all the foodie goodness!

1. Christmas Dinner Grilled Cheese
This was a fan favourite last year and for good reason. The Christmas Dinner Grilled Cheese is packed with flavour, with perfectly roasted turkey, cranberries and tonnes of Brie cheese. It's like a compact Christmas dinner, and no one will be left with the cleanup!

2. Sticklings Bakery
Sticklings Bakery is filled with every German Christmas treat you can think of. From stollen, traditional bread, to spitzkuchen, chocolate gingerbread, they have everything for the picture perfect Christmas dessert. Also, their gingerbread men make the perfect last-minute gift!

3. Oktoberfest Sausage
Head over to Woodcutters Grill, because they may be giving street meat a run for its money this holiday season. Grilled on a coal fired grill, the Oktoberfest sausage is topped with sauerkraut, and Kozlik's Mustard. The famous Kozlik Canadian Mustard, from St. Lawrence Market, was established in 1948, and uses 100 per cent Canadian mustard seed.

4. Mulled Wine
It wouldn't be the Christmas Market without some mulled wine. The spiced drink, referred to as Gluhwein, is a German-style wine with a blend of spices and fruit. It is a must try whenever you visit the Distillery District during the holiday season. You can grab a glass at the Beer Gardens or from Pure Spirits Oyster House.

5.  Chocolate Covered Pretzels
Do I need to say more? Pretzels + Lindt chocolate = best. combination. ever. The flavour combination of sweet and salty is never a bad thing. Pick between white chocolate, dark chocolate and milk chocolate.
