Now Open: All You Can Eat Italian Food at the Chicago Don

The Chicago Don is a new all-you-can-eat Italian restaurant with a unique concept, running under an 8-course cycle.

When guests walk in they are offering an appetizer of house-made bread with and Sunday sauce, and a choice of soup or salad. The courses begin when The Chicago Don opens and continue throughout the day. A customer may come in during any course, and then work their way through the daily 8 courses. After the final course, diners can decide if they want to start the 8-course cycle again, or pick something from the dessert counter.

Run by the Kritzer family, The Chicago Don prides itself on provided an authentic Italian experience. Everything on the menu is  made from scratch daily. Carefully thought out, the portions are tapas style, so there won't be any gorging on carbs.

Described as a tasting menu, expect to see the classics like meatballs, lasagna, focaccia, eggplant parmesan and more.  The menu changes daily and all of the recipes can be dated back to 1947.

The Chicago Don is separated into two rooms - the dining room and lounge. The forties motif runs throughout the decor, with warm colours and old newspaper print accents, the dining has an inviting atmosphere. The lounge, located at the back of the restaurant serves as a waiting area on their busy nights.

The Chicago Don is open seven days a week. The AYCE is priced at $30 on weekdays, and $35 on weekends.
