Originally from Tokyo, Jinya Ramen Bar opened the first location in Toronto on Monday, May 16.
Jinya serves authentic ramen bowls offering customizable toppings that suit everyone’s tastes. As with any traditional ramen bar, the focus is on the broth, with three types of broth on offer – tonkatsu, chicken and a combination of both. All of their broths are made-in-house daily. Toppings include spicy ground chicken, nori, poached egg, chicken wontons and more.
Jinya also offers a small tapas menu that includes Japanese classics like Takoyaki, edamame, tempura vegetables and more.
Also on the menu are signature dishes like the Jinya Bun, a steamed bun with braised pork, and vegetables, and Jinya Tonkatsu Black, which comes with pork chashu, kikurage, nori, season egg, garlic chips and oil and fried onion.
The modest flagship location in Toronto is located on the corner of Church and Carleton. Guests are greeted by the friendly staff when they first arrive and then are invited to sit at a table or the ramen bar. The ramen bar is situated right in front the open kitchen.
Jinya Ramen Bar is open seven days a week.
